Here are the best places to visit in Fontaine for Genshin Impact, from Merusea Village to the Opera Epiclese!
Each area that Genshin Impact releases is different. Fontaine is no different; it’s unique because it has underground scenes, beautiful buildings, and beautiful scenery. There are places that you can only get to after long trips, but the beauty and uniqueness of these places make the trouble worth it.
Many places in Fontaine are easy to get to just by exploring the continent, even if you’re not on a long quest. Whether you’re deep diving with your favorite characters or just looking at the French-style landscapes on the top, Fontaine has beautiful sights.
The ‘Real’ Annapausis

The Ann of the Narzissenkreuz needs to be turned on: Act 3 – “If She No Longer Dreams of You…” World Quest to get to this spot. Because you can’t easily get back to it, you should enjoy the scene for as long as you can. This spot is supposed to be underground, but there is dry land there and sunflowers are growing.
This really is a dreamland, and you’ll find out who sleeps here as you go on the quest. You can enjoy this short-lived sight, but it will also make you feel at home because it turns a piece of Fontaine’s farmland into this strange place.
A Very Warm Place

After completing the “Ancient Colors” World Quest and being able to get to all of Merusea Village’s places, you can get to A Very Warm Place. Melusines may live underground in Elynas, but A Very Warm Place isn’t where they build their homes. It’s probably called “warm” because the glowing stone in the middle used to be a dragon’s heart.
Because there are strange red globs all over the place, you might not feel safe or at ease the first time you come here. You will fully enjoy this place’s history and beauty, though, once you finish the quest. It’s easy to be amazed by the scenery in Snow Rider 3D.
Merusea Village
![Viewpoint from Merusea Village, Fontaine, in Genshin Impact.](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/20230902005613-2.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
There are Melusines who live in Merusea Village. You can sometimes find them working in The Court of Fontaine, but this is where they come home. The town is made up of huts that look like stones and people who live in them. There are many tasks here that have to do with the Melusines.
The town is doing very well, and compared to other places in Fontaine, this one is more about the Melusines and their building, society, and way of life. In general, it’s a nice spot with a few underwater areas. Since there isn’t much sunshine here, there aren’t many flowers. But that doesn’t take away from the beautiful sights inside these caves.
Institute Of Natural Philosophy
![Childe in the library of the Institute of Natural Philosophy in Fontaine, in Genshin Impact.](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/20230901235421.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
There is something eerie about seeing buildings underwater in a sea that never ends. There’s no way these buildings were built underground; nature just took them down during a terrible event. There are many secrets in the Institute of Natural Philosophy, and you will be out of breath when you find them all.
When you find this place, you’ll probably have a lot of questions, but that’s part of the fun. This library alone shows that this area used to have a big building with important records that were lost at sea.
Seaworn Cavern: Salacia Plain
![Zhongli swimming towards the Seaworn Cavern in Salacia Plain, Fontaine, in Genshin Impact.](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/20230901234815.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
In Salacia Plain’s Seaworn Cavern, there is a huge head of an ancient, dead creature. It’s no secret that Teyvat is varied; many dragons and sea serpents have been killed or tamed by gods in the past. At Serpent’s Head in Inazuma, you can find the remains of Orobashi. In Dragonspine, where it is cold, Durin’s heart is still beating.
You can enjoy how special this underwater spot is while you wait for the story behind this skull to come out. No matter what a terrible fate this creature had, its body lies safely on the seafloor of Seaworn Cavern, where fish and plants can live.
Narzissenkreuz Ordo
![Childe in the Narzissenkreuz Ordo, Secret Location in Fontaine, in Genshin Impact.](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/20230901233548-1.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
This is where the Narzissenkreuz Ordo is. You might have found it by chance after wandering the Fontaine waters for too long. It can be reached by reading a book in the Institute of Natural Philosophy. Once you get there, you’ll be in a beautiful room with stained glass windows that let in lots of light.
There is a clock on top that doesn’t move any longer. In the middle is a round table, and behind the arches are many bookcases. You can go into a book and see this place. No one knows how it was kept, but it looks like heaven for book lovers, like the Akademiya’s Acting Grand Sage.
Poisson

You either found this place on your own or Navia brought you here and told you why there’s a ship in the middle of the cave. The Spina di Rosula’s home is not like the others, which is fitting for a group that looks into Fontaine’s toughest cases. Poisson puts Navia’s ship in the middle, but what makes it unique is the society that surrounds it.
An important group of people connected to the Spina di Rosula live here, which has made the area livelier. While not fancy at all, the area gives off an air of a close-knit community and unique building that you don’t usually see in Fontaine.
Court Of Fontaine: Vasari Passage
![Childe in the Court of Fontaine: Vasari Passage, in Genshin Impact.](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/20230902000803.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
If you played too much Honkai: Star Rail and then chose to play Genshin Impact, you might notice that Belobog’s Administrative District and the Court of Fontaine: Vasari Passage are a bit alike. It’s the waterfall and the decisions that were made about how to frame it.
Even without that similarity, this building is the only one of its kind in the game and the first thing you see when you enter the Court of Fontaine. In the middle, there is a beautiful pond that stands out. It’s often full of people walking by.
Fountain Of Lucine
![Childe outside the Opera Epiclese, The Fountain of Lucine in Genshin Impact](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/20230902001444-2.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
The city of Fontaine can have how many fountains? A lot, but the Fountain of Lucine is the most famous place for tourists to visit in Fontaine. This is where people come to ask for good things to happen, and you could try asking for your next character here. It’s not a simple fountain because there are other waterfalls all around it.
The Opera Epiclese is behind the Fountain of Lucine. It goes well with it. The steps that lead to the pond perfectly frame both the pond of Lucine and the Opera Epiclese. This makes the building look very grand when you teleport there. You could picture Kaveh giving this place high marks.
Opera Epiclese
![Childe in the Opera Epiclese in Fontaine, in Genshin Impact.](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/20230902002926.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
As you might expect from the country’s theater and de facto court of justice, the inside of the Opera Epiclese is nothing less than stunning. As you walk into the Opera Epiclese, you’ll see a famous spiral stairs that goes to the court’s upper box seats.
You can get a better view of the action that’s about to happen from the seats below. There is a place for the Chief Justice that you can see above the Oratrice Mecanique d’Analyse Cardinale (the scales in the middle of the stage). They have tried many times but failed to get up to the balcony and sit down.
