Please find below the top battlecry minions in Hearthstone.
Another old Keyword in Hearthstone that is still used a lot is “Battlecry.” Some of Hearthstone’s strongest enemies have had Battlecry powers that could change the course of games on their own over the years.
Because there are so many Battlecry minions in the game, picking just ten will leave some powerful ones out in the cold. So, here are some of the best Battlecry guardians Hearthstone has ever seen.
Sire Denathrius
![Sire Denathrius Hearthstone](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/sire-denathrius-hearthstone.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
Sire Denathrius isn’t moving forward because the rubber bat hit him like a truck. His Infuse cost went from one to two, which made him less useful because it took twice as much work to do the same amount of damage.
But when he was at his best, the Sire ruled the meta in a way that few minions ever have. Even if your deck wasn’t built around using Denathrius’s combine effects, he could still kill your opponent’s whole board (and maybe even them) while bringing you back to full health.
There was now a 10/10 with Lifesteal for your opponent to deal with if they still wanted to play.
Reno Jackson
![Reno Jackson Hearthstone](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/reno-jackson-hearthstone.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
The ability of Reno Jackson is one of the few in Hearthstone that can get you out of a tough spot. You can heal your opponent, but if their board is big enough, it won’t matter how much you fix them.
But at some point, the healing is strong enough to be useful most of the time.
There are also some problems. For example, you can only play one of each card, which can be tricky. Also, Reno doesn’t do anything if you win, so all your hard work is wasted. Still, having Reno as a panic button can make up for all of those flaws.
Doomguard
![Doomguard Hearthstone](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/doomguard-hearthstone.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
Doomguard isn’t as complicated as some of the other minions on this lis. But it has been a powerful card many times in Hearthstone’s past. Even by today’s standards, it has great stats for having five mana. And it comes with Charge, which isn’t as common as it used to be.
There is a downside to Doomguard, but Warlock has always had many ways to get around it or use it to get ahead. Since you can’t get rid of cards if you don’t have any in your hand, Doomguard is often used in offensive Zoo-style decks.
Warlock can also trick Doomguard with cards like Voidwalker or Skull of the Man’ari. During the Cubelock era, it was one of the most important enemies that could be copied with Carnivorous Cube.
Of course, Doomguard can also use the Warlock Discard benefits that show up every so often. It’s not in Standard right now, but because it’s so famous and has a Battlecry that works well with other cards, it could definitely come back.
School Teacher
![School Teacher Hearthstone](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/school-teacher-hearthstone.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
Do you need a good card to add to your deck? A card that can be used anywhere and has no real downside? That’s School Teacher. For the price, its stats aren’t too far off from what you’d expect. And it used to be a 5/4, so it was even better.
The Nagaling that the School Teacher makes is very flexible. So you can learn magic for a lot of different situations. As you might expect, the card will work best in classes that have strong spells that cost three or less mana. Check out the spell pool before adding it to your deck.
Jandice Barov
![Jandice Barov Hearthstone](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/jandice-barov-hearthstone.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
With just five mana, Jandice Barov can make an absurd number of stats. It should be easy to get rid of one of the made bots, but it’s harder than it looks to figure out which one is fake, especially since mind games could be used.
Also, if one of the called monsters has a Deathrattle. It might not be such a bad thing if they die right away.
Barov was very strong in Rogue because there are many ways to put her back in your hand and play her again to get even better stats. Tempo-based Mage decks, on the other hand, often had her too.
Zephrys The Great
![Zephrys the Great Hearthstone](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/zephrys-the-great-hearthstone.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
Like it says in his profile, Zephrys the Great can get you the best card for any case. Whether you need to find a big monster, lethal, or a board clear, he can help.
You will have to help him out sometimes. He does better if you change how much mana you have when you play him to make sure he knows what’s going on.
The condition needed for Zephrys’ ability to work is his biggest fla. But he’s good enough that you should still think about getting him. Especially if you already have Reno Jackson or other Highlander-themed cards in your deck.
Loatheb
![Loatheb Hearthstone](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/loatheb-hearthstone.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
Loatheb, a monster from Hearthstone’s first expansion, is still one of the best ways to mess up a game. Increasing your opponent’s spells’ costs doesn’t stop them from casting spel. But it makes it much harder for them to do so.
And unlike most hand-disruption tools, which are meant to stop combo decks and are mostly used by control decks, Loatheb was great for middling strategies. He can stop spell-based combos, and he can also slow down the other team’s board clears while giving you a 5/5.
Alexstrasza (All Three)
![Alexstrasza, Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, Alexstrasza the Life-Binder Hearthstone](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/alexstrasza-dragonqueen-alexstrasza-alexstrasza-the-life-binder-hearthstone.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
In Hearthstone, Alexstrasza comes in three different forms, and each one has a powerful Battlecry. It was a mainstay of combination decks in the past. Because it let players set up attacks that would kill their opponent the next turn.
It might also help you get better in a pinch. The Life-Binder could be used in the same ways, and based on the scenario, it worked better or worse.
Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, on the other hand, is a servant who has changed a lot. She used to be able to make a copy of herself, which could possibly make an infinite value engine. This is the most important change.
Even if it only happened once, it would often cause a change in value and speed that your opponent couldn’t rebound from.
Astalor Bloodsworn
![Astalor Bloodsworn, Astalor, the Protector, and Astalor, the Flamebringer cards and artwork in Hearthstone.](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/astalor-bloodsworn-astalor-the-protector-and-astalor-the-flamebringer-hearthstone.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
Astalor Bloodsworn is a fairly new card. But the Hearthstone team has already nerfed him several times because he is so strong. Astalor is still all over the field, even after those changes.
He fits well in a lot of different deck types, which is probably why it’s not allowed in Arena. He works well as a value engine in control decks and as a killer in midrange lists, since his final form will end Geometry Dash Lite right away if you control the board. Hearthstone has rarely seen such a mix of flexibility and raw power.
Shudderwock
![Shudderwock Hearthstone](https://static1.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/shudderwock-hearthstone.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&dpr=1.5)
Shudderwock is the perfect example of a Battlecry monster. After all, what better way to show how powerful the keyword is than to bring up a bunch of examples at once? There are many great Battlecries you could use, such as ones that make you more visible on the board, heal you, or hurt your opponent.
All of those effects will be in some form in most Shudderwock decks. There will also be one of the Battlecries that can return Shudderwock to your hand. So you can play it again, if you don’t win the game right away when it hits the board.
